"Since 2014, our outreach efforts have exceeded our expectations and we have:
- provided education and resources on domestic violence and healthy relationships
to over 4,000 individuals
-supplied families with over 4200 basic need items
-ditributed over 600 lbs of toys and warm weather clothing."
Since 2016 the Dragonfly Centre has been in community partnership with Social Treatment Opportunity Programs (STOP) a domestic violence perpetrator treatment program in Tacoma and Puyallup, Washington. Over this time we have been able to expand our Gifts of Hope Program and JJ's Closet was born. JJ's Closet provides all types of clothing, shoes, diapers, personal hygiene and household items year round to women and children impacted by domestic violence in Pierce County Washington. This partnership allows individuals to give back to the victims thus helping build bridges that support healing, accountability and awareness of impact with victims and perpetrators. We value and appreciate the work of the STOP program and their willingness to work with the Dragonfly Centre in our local community and beyond.
